Hotels in Playa Parguito and El Tirano, Margarita Island

Playa Parguito, in Antolín del Campo municipality at the island's north-east, is about 1 km long, faces open sea with strong waves and is used for surfing; it has fewer restaurants than neighbouring Playa El Agua. Just south, El Tirano is a fishing village whose beach is lined with peñero boats; the town takes its name from Lope de Aguirre, who landed there in 1561.
