My city of birth isn’t in the dropdown

Updated

The portal’s city list does not include every town. If your city of birth is missing, choose the closest major city instead of leaving the field empty or giving up. The country is your country of birth as printed in the passport, which is a different question from the country you live in, asked at your first login.

How this works

  • Every step, mistake and answer rests on a rule in our rules base, with its source (official manual, reviewer, or applicant reports) and the date it was last verified. If a rule is withdrawn, that point disappears from the page.
  • Amounts, durations and limits come from one configuration with its own verification date; "Last updated" is the newest date of everything the page shows.
  • Written by us from the MPPRE manuals and dated applicant reports. We never quote or name members of community groups.
